The Pre-Care & Post Care:

The Pre & Post Care requirements are critical to your health, safety and the success of your service. Please review!

  • You are NOT eligible if the following applies to you:

    Currently Pregnant/Nursing

    Prone to Keloid Scarring

    Liver Disease- high risk of infection

    Are on or have received Chemotherapy/Radiation in the last year

    Have a Viral infections and/or disease

    Using Accutane or have been on Accutane is the last year

    Have a skin irritations or Psoriasis near/on the treated area (rashes, sunburn, acne, etc.) or have compromised skin near brow or eye area

    Under 18 years old

  • Diabetes 1 & 2, auto-immune disease, Thyroid/Graves’ disease, or any other medical condition that causes slow healing or high risk of infection

    Blood thinner medications- would have to stop 1 month prior with doctors permission - a doctors note would be required

    Cold Sore/Fever Blisters- please take anti-viral 2 weeks prior to treatment and 2 weeks after, especially for a lash enhancement & lip blush

    Hormone Therapies- can affect pigmentation/cause sensitivity- consult your doctor first

    Epilepsy

    Pacemaker or major heart problems

    Organ transplant

  • Pre-Care:

    *Have your Eyelash Extensions removed 1-2 weeks prior

    Ideally, please come without eye makeup

    Ensure you bring a case with solution to remove your contacts

    Stop any lash serums 3 weeks prior to your appointment

    After-Care:

    Eyelids may be puffy and red

    Do not curl your lashes or apply mascara for at least 1 week

    Keep your eye area clean and apply a moderate amount of the aftercare ointment provided

    Avoid getting any foundation and/or concealer or other makeup on your eyelids until fully healed (3-4 weeks). This will minimize the risk of irritation, infection and maximize your potential results

    Your tattoo will look darkest following the procedure, then it may scab or peel, realizing its actual results once fully healed

  • Pre-Care:

    No alcohol 48 HOURS prior to your procedure.

    No caffeine the morning of your procedure.

    No Botox TWO WEEKS prior to your procedure.

    No fillers FOUR WEEKS prior to your procedure.

    Avoid sun and tanning ONE WEEK prior to your procedure.

    Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Advil/Ibuprofen 24 HOURS prior to your procedure.

    Discontinue Glycolics, Chemical Peels and Retin-A FOUR WEEKS prior to your procedure. 

    Refrain from use of any Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) products close to the eyebrow area TWO WEEKS PRIOR to and TWO WEEKS AFTER your procedure. Check your moisturizer, facewash BB or CC creams and makeup primers for anything that says acid.

    Discontinue use of Retinol products OR strong skin care products ONE WEEK prior to your procedure.

    No brow waxing or tinting ONE WEEK prior to your procedure.

    You must discontinue the use of any type of Accutane ONE YEAR prior to your procedure.

    No LATISSE (lash hair growing serum). Discontinue use at least THREE WEEKS prior to your appointment.

    Post-Care:

    Gently blot treated area with a clean and dry cotton round for the first 24 hours.

    For the first 5 days following your appointment wipe the treated area with a damp cotton round. Discontinue this process after the fifth day or you will risk removing scabs prematurely which may affect color retention.

    You may be given an ointment to apply to your brows. If you are very dry and/or scabbing you can gently apply the ointment using a clean Q-tip morning and night.

    Never pick scabs; the scabbing process is to be expected and is a part of the healing process.

    Do not apply makeup or additional products in the treated area until the scabs have healed.

    Avoid excessive sweating, long hot showers, swimming, or anything that may add moisture to the area for the first 14 days.

  • Pre-Care:

    Post Care:

    Gently blot treated area with a clean and dry cotton round for the first 24 hours.

    The next 5 days following your appointment, gently wash your brows AM + PM. Stop sooner if your brows begin scabbing or flaking before the 5 days is up.

    Discontinue this process after the fifth day or you will risk removing scabs prematurely which may affect color retention.

    Use a rice grain sized amount of ointment on your brows following your cleanse. If you are very dry and/or scabbing you can increase the frequency of use.

    Continue the ointment for 2 weeks or longer. The ointment will assist in your healing, retention and final results

    Do not pick scabs; the scabbing process is to be expected and is a common part of the healing process.

    Avoid excessive sweating, long hot showers, swimming, or anything that may add moisture to the area for the first 14 days. Stay out of pools, saunas, steamy showers, hot yoga or excessively sweaty activities. We want to minimize any risk of infection and maximize your results.

    While showering for the first 2 weeks, utilize the multiple use, disposable visors given to you.

    Do not get a spray tan, apply makeup or any additional products in the treated area until the scabs have healed.

  • Pre-Care:

    Space any lip filler 4 weeks minimum from your Lip Blush appointment

    Exfoliate your lips moderately and moisturize excessively the week prior to your appointment

    If you have ever had a cold sore you must take an antiviral medication 2 weeks before & 2 weeks after to minimize your risks of an outbreak. Go to a medical professional to get the correct dosage to be administered before & after having your Lip-Blush. This is important!

    Post-Care:

    Lips tend to be chapped, dry, swollen and have a burning sensation for a few days following.

    Use a straw to drink for the first 2-3 days.

    Never pick any dry/flaking skin as this will remove pigment and affect your results.

    Always keep your lips clean. Blot any lymph off the surface with a clean cotton pad and water the first 24 hrs. You can be liberal with your application of the aftercare ointment provided. Avoid getting lipstick or other makeup on your lips until fully healed.

    Your lip colour will look the darkest for the first few days, then scab or peel, realizing their actual color in 4-6 weeks.

  • You are NOT an eligible candidate if the following applies to you:

    Under 18 years old

    If you are currently taking or have been on Accutane within the last year

    If you have grade 3 or 4 acne

    If you have uncontrolled Diabetes (a Doctors note is required if it is controlled)

    Are currently receiving chemotherapy and/or radiation or have received treatments within the last year

    If you have Hemophilia or a bleeding disorders

    Impaired circulation or healing disorders

    Active Cold Sore outbreak

    Have a current contagious skin infection

    Pre-Care:

    Stop using Retinol for 5-7 days prior to your appointment

    Book Dermaplaning 2 weeks before or after Fillers and/or Botox/Dysport

    Do not book your service if you have an active sunburn

    Space apart Dermaplaning 1 month or more between laser treatments or medium depth chemical peels

    If you have active Psoriasis, Eczema or Dermatitis we will need to work around affected areas

    Active acne - Please note, while Dermaplaning can reduce outbreaks via exfoliation, we cannot go over any pimples. Areas on the face with active outbreaks will need to be avoided

    Take antiviral medications 2 weeks before if you get cold-sores to reduce you chances of an outbreak

    Post-Care:

    You may experience minor redness or a stinging sensation from the exfoliation. If this occurs, it settles quickly

    after your service do not apply retinols or products containing acids (AHA/BHA etc.) for 5-7 days

    Do not receive a medium depth peel or laser within 2 weeks of receiving Dermaplaning

    You will be sun-sensitive so like always, SPF is a must!

    Treatment intervals can be completed every 4 weeks

  • Pre-Care:

    -Cease any active skin care ingredients *1 Week prior to service. Active skin care ingredients are not limited to the use of Retinoids (Vitamin A) of any form, Benzoyl Peroxide, Hydroquinone, Kojic acid, Azelaic acid, AHA, BHA, Lactic acid or Salicylic Acid.

    -Do not get a Spray tan or use self-tanning 1-2 weeks prior

    -Do not receive any cosmetic procedures *2 weeks prior . This is not limited to Botox, Fillers, Plastic Surgery, Chemical Peels, Lasers, IPL, Radio Frequency, Photo dynamic Therapy, Hair Removal in the area, Dermabrasion, Tattooing/cosmetic tattooing

    What to Expect:

    You can anticipate redness, the sensation of a mild sunburn and the possibility of pin-point bleeding. Typical recovery is 1-2 days. There is a risk of bruising, grazing, track marks or possible scabbing/laceration to the area although this is rare with the use of the DP4 Microneedling device.

    Post Care:

    *For at least 2 days after

    - Use gentle, non active skin care to calm and soothe.

    - Avoid; direct sun exposure, intensive cardio, further clinical procedures (like microdermabrasion, laser, IPL, chemical peels, Neuromodulator(s), Filler(s) etc.), tattooing/cosmetic tattooing, active skin care products (like Retinoids, AHA, BHA, Benzoyl Peroxide, chemical based sunscreens etc.), excessively hot showers/baths, saunas, chlorinated pools, the ocean, spray tans or self-tanner.
